MYSTICAL CHINA FACEBOOK APP
House of Travel, in conjunction with Air New Zealand, wanted to promote China as a holiday destination to New Zealanders. So, they decided to give Kiwis a chance to win a unique China experience, on Facebook. We designed and built a simple and fun app that did just that.
WHAT’S YOUR ZODIAC?
Consumers were asked to like House of Travel before entering their birthdate to discover what their Chinese Zodiac animal and personality was. Different holiday destinations were matched to the Zodiacs and consumers could then go on to enter the competition to win a trip to their destination.
The Mystical China Facebook app is a good example of how a simple idea, executed well, can deliver great results. After just four short weeks, the campaign delivered several thousand new Facebook fans and competition entries, with a whopping 60% of people opting in to receive marketing emails.
