AMAZING HEROES FACEBOOK CAMPAIGN
Amazing Heroes was an integrated campaign that saw three New Zealanders doing great work in the community share $40,000 of prize money. The catch was that the $40k would, largely, be divided based on how many votes each of them received.
We worked with brand and agency to create a social media strategy, Facebook app, and online advertising programme that got people talking about the campaign and voting for their favourite hero.
VOTING’S NEVER BEEN SO MUCH FUN
The app was designed to let people vote daily for their favourite hero and featured a real-time ticker that showed the last three people that voted and who they voted for. The heroes also had their own profiles where people could watch a short video about them.
ON YOUR PHONE? NO PROBLEM!
Voters were incentivised by the tantalising thought of winning a year’s worth of Hubbards muesli and with almost 50% of them on smart phones and tablets, it’s a good thing we created a mobile friendly version of the app!
By the end of the campaign we’d help grow the brand’s Facebook page by over 7,000 fans, significantly increased page post engagement, and laid the groundwork for an ongoing email-marketing programme.
